HCCSC hires new bus. manager Monday

Huntington County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees voted to hire Scott Bumgardner as business manager during a special session held Monday, Aug. 6.

Bumgardner holds a principal’s license and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. He comes to Huntington with experience as a business manager/treasurer, principal, assistant principal, teacher and coach.

 “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to serve as the business manager for HCCSC. I’m very impressed with the leadership, the educators and the facilities and feel confident in the trajectory of the school district,” he said. “My family and I are excited to become a part of the Huntington community and experience everything it has to offer.”

Superintendent Randy Harris said he is excited to welcome Bumgardner to HCCSC.

“He brings all of the experience and skills that we were looking for in a new business manager,” he said. “We are expecting great things with his addition to our administrative team.”

Bumgardner and his wife Ashley have two children, a daughter, Reece, and a son, Maddox.
