Bridge maintenance set for Ind. 3 soon

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that bridge maintenance is scheduled for Ind.-3 over Rock Creek in Huntington County.

Ind.-3 is expected to close on or after Monday, July 9, weather permitting.
The closure, which will allow contractors to complete a bridge deck overlay, is scheduled to take place over Gordon Ditch, located between C.R.S500E and C.R.E200S. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work.

The official state detour for the closure will be Ind.-116 to Ind.-124. The road may be closed up to 21 calendar days during the work.

Work on the Ind.-3 bridge over Rock Creek is expected to continue through late July, weather permitting. The contract was awarded to R.L. McCoy for $9.6 million and includes the resurface of U.S. 27 in Adams County, as well as the rehabilitation and maintenance of several structures in Adams, Huntington and Wells counties.
