Brenden Rice is 2018 recipient of Frank L. Pyle Sr. Scholarhship

The Huntington County Community Foundation announces that Brenden Rice, of Roanoke, is the recipient of the 2018 Frank L. Pyle Sr. Scholarship.

Rice, a graduating senior from Huntington North High School, will attend Purdue University Fort Wayne to major in computer science.

He is the son of Paula and Kevin Rice.

A 10-year member of 4-H, Rice was also a four-year member of Varsity Singers. His community service time was spent with Varsity Singers, 4-H and Blessings in a Backpack.

Ruby Pyle established the Frank L. Pyle Sr. Scholarship in 2003 to assist Huntington County students pursuing a two or four-year degree in electronics at one of the following schools: Ivy Tech, Trine, IPFW or Rose-Hulman. Applicants must be Huntington County residents with a “B” or better grade point average attending school full-time.
