Fund-raiser for crash victims’ children

A rummage/bake sale will be held Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21, on the grounds of The Well, 1886 Old U.S.-24, Huntington, to raise funds for the two small children of two local Walmart employees who recently died in a car wreck.

The fund-raiser will be held in the pole barn on the east side of the church, with all of the money collected to go into a fund for the young son and daughter of Alex Capes and Merissa Lewis, who died March 23.
Friday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tammy Parnell and Amber Ambriole, who worked with Capes and Lewis at Walmart, have organized the event, and gotten a lot of assistance from another fellow employee, Cynthia Rinehart.

Parnell notes that the event started out with items and baked goods being donated by employees of the local Walmart, but others have jumped in with donations of items and money as well. Organizers are happy to have both, she says.
