Trinity United Methodist rummage sale to benefit several ministries

Trinity United Methodist Women will conduct their annual rummage sale fund-raiser on Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21.

The sale will be held in the lower part of the church from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The funds from the rummage sale are used to help the Roxy Lefforge United Methodist Women of TUMC continue supporting local ministries such as Place of Grace and Love In the Name of Christ, as well as further outreaching missions such as Red Bird School and Missions, which provided economic opportunity and spiritual, educational and health outreach to the people in the remote Appalachian Mountains.

These funds are also dispersed to the Indiana UM Children’s Home Inc. in Lebanon to provide services to children with educational, emotional and behavioral needs and the Lucille Raines Residence in Indianapolis for continued support in rebuilding lives devastated by substance abuse. Both are supported completely by the Indiana United Methodist Women and the funds they raise.

Trinity United Methodist Church is at 530 Guilford St., Huntington. Parking is available on the east side of the church in the church parking lot. For more information call the church office at 356-0961.
