Joshua Scott and Jenna Henline, both 2017 Huntington North High School graduates, graduated from the seminary program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 4.

Over their four years of high school, the two also studied the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon and history of the Latter-day Saint faith in daily classes held before school in the church’s Huntington chapel.

In order to earn their graduation certificates, students were required to attend at least 80 percent of the classes over four years and complete all required course study. Five other area high school students were also honored for completing the course this year.

The seminary program is a worldwide program for youth ages 14 to 18 and currently enrolls more than 397,000 students. It is operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but is open to teens of all faiths.
