Masonic Grand Lodge awards scholarships to pair of locals

Hannah Frankle and Morgan McNally have each been awarded a $1,220 Masonic scholarship by the scholarship board of the Grand Lodge of Indiana, Free and Accepted Masons.

Frankle is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Frankle, of Huntington. She is studying political science and criminal justice at Indiana University, where she just completed her first year.

McNally is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven McNally, of Huntington. She plans to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne as a freshman this fall, studying medical imaging.

The scholarships, fun-ded by an endowment, are awarded to Master Masons, their children or stepchildren who demonstrate academic merit, financial need and community participation and plan to attend an Indiana college or university.

The Grand Lodge of Indiana awarded 373 scholarships this spring.
