Two Roanoke events being combined into one this spring

Two events in Roanoke that have traditionally been held on separate weekends are being combined this spring.

Both the Vintage and Handmade Market and Springtime in the Village will be held on May 20.

The Vintage and Handmade Market will be held in downtown Roanoke. The outdoor festival features booths with handmade and vintage items, as well as food and live music.

Vendors are currently being accepted for that event. Interested vendors should call Perry Collins at 615-1196.

Springtime in the Village includes town-wide garage sales. Anyone having a garage sale who wants to be included on the master garage sale list should contact Jill Martin at Rescued Relics, 519-2278, or stop by the store. Store hours are Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Other Springtime in the Village events include the Roanoke Volunteer Fire Department hog roast from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a book sale at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore will be in Roanoke from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to accept leftover garage sale items.
