Invite girls to compete for Miss Heritage Days titles
Monday, April 17, 2017 8:04 AM
Huntington County girls are invited to become contestants for the Little Miss and Junior Miss Heritage Days Pageant to be held Wednesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at Crestview Middle School.
The pageant is open to girls age 5 to 12 and is part of Huntington’s Heritage Days celebration.
Two divisions will be judged, including Little Miss Heritage Days for girls ages 5 to 8 and Junior Miss Heritage Days for age 9 to 12.
The objective is for girls to learn about stage presence and gain self-confidence. Girls will be taught to model a dress of their choice and answer questions on stage.
Contestants will be judged on modeling, interview and photogenic qualities. Pictures will be taken prior to the pageant and there is no purchase required.
Registration and the pageant clinic will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Lincoln Elementary School.
There is an entry fee, which should be brought to registration. Girls may obtain sponsorships from businesses, family members or a combination of both. The cost covers a participation trophy and souvenir T-shirt.
The clinic includes an orientation, picture signup and a group picture taken for publication.
