Local man recipient of iAB Employee Scholarship award

iAB financial bank and the Fort Wayne Community Foundation have announced the four recipients of the iAB financial bank Employee Scholarship award.

The 2017 recipients are:

• Trevor Szelis, who will be a freshman this fall at Trine University in Angola pursuing a degree in civil engineering. He is the son of Trent and Amy Szelis, Huntington.

• Alyssa Garver, a sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne. She is the daughter of Greg and Dana Garver, of Harlan.

• Amy Roth, who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in both elementary education and teaching English to speakers of other languages at Bethel College in Mishawaka. She is the daughter of Kevin and Lorraine Roth, of Grabill.

• Logan Sagstetter, who will be a freshman this fall pursuing a Bachelor of Science in pre-physical therapy/exercise science at Trine University, in Angola. She is the daughter of Deb Bishop, of Grabill.

Scholarships are aw-arded based on academic achievement and personal qualities such as character, leadership ability and community service. Since partnering with the Fort Wayne Community Foundation in 2003, iAB has awarded more than $140,600 in scholarship monies to 137 local students.
