Workshop teaches INSPIRE website

The Huntington City-Township Public Library will host a workshop for those using the INSPIRE website Thursday, March 9, at 2 p.m. at its Huntington branch.

All Indiana residents have access to INSPIRE, Indiana’s Virtual Online Library.

INSPIRE is a collection of online academic and other information resources, full-text magazine and journal articles, websites, pamphlets, images, almanacs, full-text historic newspapers, multimedia, library catalogs and more.

In most cases, INSPIRE provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts of all articles that appear in every periodical with the exception of some newspapers.

The library’s workshop will cover how to navigate all this information, and is especially geared towards homeschooling parents or teachers.

The program is limited to 24 attendees; registration is required by calling 356-0824.
