Huntington library co-sponsoring writing contest

The Huntington City-Township Public Library is partnering with WFWA PBS 39 and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art to sponsor this year's PBSKIDS GO! Writers Contest.
The contest, which runs through March 24, is open to children in kindergarten through grade three who write and illustrate their own story.

Entries will be judged on originality, creative expression, storytelling and integration of text and illustrations.

Judged locally, the first place winner in each category will advance to the regional judging at WFWA PBS 39, in Fort Wayne. Regional winners advance to the national contest, which will be held in June.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m., a free workshop will be offered at the main library to all interested in the contest.

Entry forms and contest guidelines are available at library at the Children's Department at 356-2900.

Forms are also available online at www.wfwa org/PBSKidsGO-Writer sContest.

The deadline for registration is March 24.
The contest was formerly known as the Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest.

The library is located at 200 W. Market St.
