Wall to face Banks for District 17 Senate seat

Floyd J. "Tom" Wall, of Huntington, has filed for the Republican nomination for the 17th District Indiana Senate seat.

Wall will face Jim Banks, of Columbia City, in the Republican primary.

Gary "Doc" Dillon, who has served the 17th district since 2002, had announced earlier that he does not plan to seek re-election.

Wall, 1359W-200S, currently serves as president of the Huntington County Commissioners.

Wall also filed as a candidate for Republican state convention delegate.

Those filing as candidates for local offices as of Feb. 4 include:

• Cindy Yeiter, 1449N-300W, Huntington, Republican for Huntington County Auditor. Yeiter will face incumbent Kathy Juillerat in the Republican primary.

• Jay R. Hammel, 9275N-300W, Huntington, Republican for Clear Creek Township trustee. Hammel is the incumbent.

• Jane Witt, 6847 W. Maple Grove Rd., Republican for Dallas Township Board.

• Angie Landrum, 8829W-800N, Huntington, Republican for Warren Township Board.

• Kevin C, Killen, 8075 S. Marion Rd,.-35, LaFontaine, Republican for Wayne Township Board.

• Paul Walton, 6290W-900S, Warren, Democrat for Wayne Township Trustee. Walton is the incumbent.

• Lorraine Grodrian, 260 E. McKeever St., Andrews, Democrat for Dallas Township Board.
