Kohl to speak on future of agriculture

Huntington University’s Institute for Agricultural Studies is hosting a day-long event focused on the future of agriculture and featuring Dr. David Kohl, president of AgriVisions LLC, a consulting firm providing cutting-edge programs to leading agricultural organizations worldwide.

The Feb. 18 event will include sessions by Kohl titled “Straight Talk about Agriculture and the Economy” and “How Big is the New Tent for Agriculture?” The first session will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and the second will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Both sessions will be in the Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The sessions are free and open to the public.

Kohl has conducted more than 6,000 workshops and seminars for agricultural groups such as Farm Credit and the Farm Service Agency, as well as producer, regulator, banker and agribusiness groups. He has published four books and more than 1,500 articles on financial and business-related topics in journals and agricultural research and extension publications.

A buffet lunch, including several courses, dessert and soft drinks, will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
