Members of the Huntington Theatre Guild: Act II will perform prior to the afternoon performance of the Huntington North High School Varsity Singers’ Pomp & Plenty concert on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Showtime is at 3 p.m. in the HNHS auditorium.

Theatre Guild: Act II is the successor to the former Huntington Theatre Guild, which was active in the community for about 25 years beginning in the mid-1970s. The rejuvenated group has already staged a fund-raising talent show and is working toward a regular schedule of plays, musicals and youth productions.

The Pomp & Plenty performance, says Act II President Deanna Albertson, will consist of an original production giving audiences a peek at life behind the scenes at a theater.

The Varsity Singers will follow the Act II show, presenting the first of its three concerts for the weekend.

Additional Varsity Singers shows are Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. A dinner will be served on Saturday at 5 p.m. and is open to those attending either Saturday performance.

Tickets can be purchased from any Varsity Singers member or parent; in Huntington at PNC Bank, Bippus State Bank north and south and all three branches of First Federal Savings Bank; or by calling 433-5920.
