HU is hosting trip to Holy Land in the fall

Huntington University is hosting a trip to the Holy Land this fall.

Middle East expert Dr. Mark Fairchild will lead the trip through Israel and Turkey, along with HU President Sherilyn Emberton and Vince Haupert, the university's vice president for advancement.

The tour will take place from Oct. 30 to Nov. 12 and will visit multiple sites throughout the Holy Land, including Ephesus, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee and Jerusalem.

"This tour will describe the early Christian faith from its beginnings in Galilee, through our Lord's final days in Jerusalem, culminating in his crucifixion and resurrection," says Fairchild, who has explored many sites in Turkey and discovered the oldest known synagogue.

Registration for the trip has been extended until July 25 but space is limited.
