Supporting Camp H.E.R.O.

The Roanoke Lions Club presented a check to organizers of Camp H.E.R.O. during a program about the camp given Thursday, May 22, at Roanoke Elementary School.
Participating in the presentation are (from left) Lions Club members John Zeider, Jim Vachon and Charlie Crawford; Chief Deputy Chris Newton, of the Huntington County Sheriff's Department; Scott Craft, of the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA; and Wayne Huff, assistant chief with the Huntington Fire Department. Camp H.E.R.O. is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 who want to experience the public safety field and will be held July 7 through July 11. All registration is through the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA.
