The "No Limit" Keystone Club of the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County re-ceived two awards at the Midwest Regional Keystone Conference.

The group was awarded the 2009 Midwest Regional Keystone Award for Free Enterprise. This award was given for the Snack Shack, which the Keystone Group developed at the Boys and Girls Club.

Keystone members work, plan, take inventory and manage the Snack Shack business, which allows them to generate revenue to attend conferences and community service projects.

The second award given to the Keystone group was the 2009 Midwest Regional Key-stone Award for Advisor of the Year, which was awarded to Ashley Allen.

The conference was held in Milwaukee, WI, from Oct. 23-25.

Local Keystone members are Alison Louthan, Jasmine Whitesell, Kelly Waters, Jacob Parker, Wesley Hershburger and Adrian DeLaGrange

This was the first time the Huntington Keystone group had attended a regional conference. The trip was lead by advisors Ashley Allen and Kyle Alcock.

While at the conference, the Keystone members were able to attend to workshops addressing issues such as the high school dropout crisis, drug abuse, abusive relationships, diversity as well as becoming a better leader, planning large scale community service projects and fundraising.

Members also attended sessions that were "just for fun" such asphotography, spoken word and chefography. Additionally, the teens attended a Milwaukee Bucks basketball game and had an evening of activities, including a dance, bonfire and haunted trail at a campsite.
