The Huntington North High School Marching Vikes earned a gold rating and their highest score in nearly a decade during the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) regional competition held Oct. 17 at Chesterton High School. While the band achieved its highest score since 2001, it did not score high enough to advance to the semi-state competition. The gold award at regional was accepted by (from left) color guard senior Jessica Beaty, drum major JD Sell, color guard senior Hannah Town, drum major Amanda Denna, and color guard senior Haley Acra.
