Lincoln’s Heith Garner dinner, show on Oct. 4

Lincoln Elementary School will hold its third annual Heith Garner Scholarship Spaghetti Dinner and Talent Show on Friday, Oct. 4, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria and gym.

Lincoln students and staff members will show off their talents during the dinner.

Proceeds will go to the Lincoln Elementary Heith Garner Scholarship Fund, named in honor of a former Lincoln student who died in an automobile accident. Heith Garner was active in the community, including as a volunteer at the YMCA. His parents, Don and Angie Garner, help present the award.

The Heith Garner Scholarships are awarded to Huntington North High School seniors who attended Lincoln for three year or more and can be used at colleges or technical schools. Since 1997, more than 77 scholarships totaling $23,500 have been awarded.

Lincoln Caring Families, the school mini mall project, Lincoln classrooms, teachers and other individuals have also contributed scholarship funds.
