The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce is offering the workshop, "Lunch and Learn: Essential Business Applications and Technology for the Business" on Sept. 12 at Horace Mann Education Center, 2485 Waterworks Rd., Huntington.
The workshop is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with questions and one-on-one time from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
There is a fee to attend, with a box lunch and beverage provided.
This is a hands-on workshop in which a business owner or manager can explore the various business applications available to them to make their job more efficient.
Participants will learn ways to streamline a business and cut operating costs. The focus of the workshop will be for one to use a smart device, including a phone and/or tablet, for anything in the business world, including: using apps to cut time-killers; apps that assist one in making a business paperless; how to secure one's business using technology; and other tools for one-on-one advice.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their phones or tablets.
