Farewell party Aug. 25 for retiring New Hope UCC pastor
Monday, August 12, 2013 7:43 AM
Rev. Larry Holderbaum, minister of the New Hope United Church of Christ, Bippus, has announced his retirement.
A farewell service is planned for Sunday, Aug. 25, starting with worship at 9:30 a.m.
An appreciation luncheon will follow the service in the Bippus Community Building at noon.
Holderbaum began his duties serving a yoked parish, at the United Church of Christ located in Servia in Wabash County and the St. John's United Church of Christ located in Bippus on the western edge of Huntington County.
He facilitated the successful merger of the two congregations into the New Hope United Church of Christ in 2006.
Holderbaum and his wife Pat plan to travel and enjoy family during retirement.
For planning purposes, reservations are requested.
