President’s project

Carol LaGard (left), of LaPorte, 2013-14 president of the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Indiana, and Beverly Swaim, of Roanoke Unit 160, department chairman of children and youth, tour the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indiana. As a special project for her year as president, LaGard has chosen to decorate a patient room at the hospital. Members of the American Legion, Auxiliary, Sons and Juniors will help raise $25,000 for the project, with any excess funds to be given to the hospital's communications center for speech and hearing equipment.
