Huntington BZA to consider three requests

The Huntington Board of Zoning Appeals will meet tonight, Monday, Oct. 5, to consider three requests for special exceptions to zoning rules.

Melvin Lamphiear has requested a special exception that will allow a single-wide mobile home to be placed on Harris Street in an area zoned residential. The mobile home would be placed two lots north of 975 Harris St.

Joy McFarland has requested a special exception that would allow her to operate a massage therapy business in a home at 1060 Poplar St., which is zoned residential.

The Awakening Community Church, represented by J&K Real Estate, LLC, has requested a special exception to operate a church at 251 Hauenstein Road. The address is zoned for business.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in City Council chambers on the third floor of the City Building, 300 Cherry St.
