Harlem Ambassadors to perform Oct. 14

The Harlem Ambassadors will be brining their hoop artistry and laughs to the Huntington North High School Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., thanks to the efforts of the Huntington Lions Club.

The Harlem Ambassadors will bring their professional basketball show to Huntington on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

The traveling team will face a local team made up of former Huntington University and Huntington North High School basketball standouts, along with several local business persons, in a game beginning at 7 p.m. in the Huntington North High School gym.

The game is sponsored by the Huntington Lions Club, and all proceeds will be used for youth projects sponsored by the Lions Club.

Tickets for the game may be purchased in advance at the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce; First Federal Savings Bank north, downtown and south; Wells Fargo; Na-tional City/PNC Bank; Teachers Credit Union, Bippus State Bank north and south, 1st Source Bank and Coffee D'Vine.

The Harlem Ambassadors will hold a convocation for all fifth-grade students in the Huntington County Community Schools the morning of Oct. 14. The convocation, to be held at Huntington University's Merillat Physical Education Complex, will focus on staying in school and staying away from drugs and alcohol.
