Shearer has been involved in the HNHS variety show, FFA, class council and freshmen mentoring. He is a graduate of the Huntington County Youth Leadership Academy. As a member of the Huntington County 4-H program, he was named senior pony gaming champion and received the 4-H Spirit Award.
