The Huntington County Humane Society is accepting registrations from bands and vendors who want to take part in the Furrball Fest/Pet Expo and Battle of the Bands on Aug. 3.
The event will be held at Heritage Hall and on the outdoor stage at Hier's Park from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and admission is free.
The Battle of the Bands will begin at 2:30 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. Bands will compete for cash prizes and trophies. There is an entry fee, and the registration deadline is July 19.
Electricity will be available for vendors, and there is a fee for booths.
Other events will include a dog wash, games and crafts for children, a mobile adoption center, concessions and prizes. A Puppy Closet sale, silent auction and bake sale are also planned, and animal rescue booths will bring information and animals.
To register for the Battle of the Bands or for a vendor space, call the Huntington County Humane Shelter at 356-0355.
