Four HNHS seniors earn scholarships from Roanoke PTO

The Roanoke Elementary School PTO has awarded scholarships to Morgan Goetz, Olivia Ely, Noah Reed and Michael Winans.

All four are seniors at Huntington North High School.

Goetz is a member of Varsity Singers, Campus Life, Catch Phrase Club and National Honor Society. She serves as manager for the girls' cross country team. She is the daughter of Ronald and Julie Goetz.

Goetz plans to study accounting at Anderson University this fall.

Ely is a member of 4-H, youth group, Class Council and National Honor Society. She has served as a freshman mentor and math tutor. Her parents are Dennis and Michelle Ely.

Ely plans to attend Saint Mary's College to pursue a degree in pediatric nursing.

Reed played basketball and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the son of Tom and Kathy Reed.

Reed plans to attend Defiance College, working toward a degree in business/management or communications.

Winans has been involved in the Huntington North Variety Show, freshman mentoring and the marching band. He is the son of Tim and Tammy Winans.

Winans plans to pursue an engineering degree at Indiana Tech this fall.
