Kids Kampus pair attends conference in Indianapolis recently
Thursday, April 25, 2013 7:46 AM
Sheila Crawford and Sheila Allison, lead teachers at Pathfinder Kids Kampus Child Care Center in Huntington, attended the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children conference in Indianapolis.
"Some of the classes we took focused on discipline using strategies based upon Dr. Becky A. Bailey's "Conscious Discipline," Crawford says. "We heard from Dr. William J. DeMeo on the brain development in children. We gained ideas on enhancing children's play, simple science, and transforming simple items into learning activities."
Pathfinder Kids Kampus teachers are required to complete 12 hours of training each year for licensing. As a Paths to Quality Level 3 provider, teachers have 20 hours of training each year.
