HU nursing professor to discuss evidence-based teaching strategies

Dr. Diana Shenefield, assistant professor of nursing at Huntington University, will speak on "The Scholarship of Teaching" on Wednesday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in Hiner Hall of the Science Hall on campus.
Shenefield will discuss evidence-based teaching strategies to improve critical thinking as summarized in her doctoral dissertation research with Capella University this past fall.
Shenefield, who has been teaching at HU since 2009, holds a Ph.D. in nursing education from Capella University and a master's in nursing administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
She has worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years, specializing in pediatrics.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
