Entries now being taken for 50th annual Heritage Days Parade

Entries are now being accepted for the 50th annual Heritage Days Parade.
The parade will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. in downtown Huntington and the entry deadline is June 3. Only 140 entries will be accepted.
The parade theme is "Steamin' Into Huntington." Parade entries may be judged in any of 11 categories, including best theme float.
Other judging categories are adult group (over 18 years), antique vehicle (more than 25 years old), classic vehicle (25 years old or newer), horse unit (must provide pooper scooper), marching band, marching color guard, motorized unit, performing unit, religious unit and youth group (18 years and younger).
Each unit must pay a parade entry fee and each motorized unit must supply a certificate of liability insurance. No candy may be thrown during the parade.
