Arts Express Saturday morning at Crestview

Arts Express 2013 will be held on Saturday, March 23, at Crestview Middle School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is celebrating its 21st year of showcasing the talents, experiences and opportunities explored by the students of Huntington County in the area of fine arts.
The festival will include works from more than 1,500 students in kindergarten through grade 12.

The theme will be "Expressions of Peace."

Exhibits will feature works by students from Andrews, Flint Springs, Lancaster, Lincoln, Northwest, Roanoke and Salamonie elementary schools; Crestview and Riverview Middle Schools; and Huntington North High School.

The displays will include paintings, drawings, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, computer graphics, crafts and more.

Artistic performances will take place throughout the day in the school's auditeria.

Huntington art teachers will host a "Make-it, Take-it" activity free of charge.

This event is free and open to the public, with concessions sponsored by the Crestview Band.
