On Thursday, March 14, Indiana State Police Sergeant Leonard Langland (right) explains to Huntington County Historical Museum director Sarah Schmidt how the WWI bomb he is holding in his hands was manufactured. Schmidt and a museum volunteer came across the bomb last week while searching through the museum's storage unit for a different military artifact. The bomb was donated to the museum anonymously about seven years ago. Langland visited the museum to determine if the bomb was live and after performing an X-ray of the bomb's internal structure he determined it was not.
