The Cottage Event Center recently presented Northeast Indiana Honor Flight with a donation stemming from its recent holiday concert "A Cottage Christmas Celebration."

The gift came from a percentage of ticket sales for the event, which featured theater and music students from Huntington University, as well as profits for food concessions sold that night.

Northeast Indiana Honor Flight escorts veterans to Washington D.C. to see the World War II Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, along with other sites.

The trips are provided to the veterans at no cost. The group is planning two such excursions this May.

Another fund-raising event, a pair of performances featuring the Kelly Miller Circus in Roanoke, is scheduled for May 12.
