Employees of Bippus State Bank, in Huntington, are winding up a year of giving to the community.

They contributed $600 to Love INC's Back to School Fair in August.

Throughout the year, Bippus State Bank employees are given the opportunity to wear jeans to work on Fridays for a $2 donation to their jeans fund.

This money is then used throughout the year to give back to those in the community who are less fortunate by purchasing jeans and other clothing.

During the Christmas season, Bippus also adopts local families through Love INC.

This year, Bippus State Bank donated $980 to adopt and purchase meals for five families and purchase and wrap gifts for the 16 children in these families.

Bippus employees also volunteered their time to shop for and wrap the gifts.

An additional $140 was used to purchase gifts for six children through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.

Since the jeans fund began in 2006, bank employees have donated more than $9,500.
