PHH encouraging employees to enjoy benefits of walking
Monday, October 1, 2012 7:43 AM
Parkview Huntington Hospital is encouraging employees and guests to "Park Farther" and enjoy the benefits of walking.
The Parkview LiVe staff, with help from the Parkview Huntington Hospital staff, spent several hours on Sept. 27 painting spots with special wording encouraging staff and visitors to park farther from buildings and increase walking for better physical fitness.
Designated spaces were painted in two large lots at the hospital, in the lot at the John B. Kay Medical Office Building and at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA.
The most remote parking spots of the lots are painted with the green Parkview LiVe logo and the message, "Park here to walk farther and be healthier."
Parkview LiVe is a health and wellness program aimed at creating awareness and support of healthier lifestyles for families, children and co-workers throughout the region.
