Alyssa Hurlburt is the first winner of the Rob Henn memorial scholarship.

Last year, a golf outing was held in order to raise money to give the scholarship this year; $2000 was awarded to Hurlburt, a 2009 graduate of Huntington North High School, where she played basketball and ran track.

Barry Christen, event coordinator, says Hurlburt is a "very bright student athlete" and they are "happy to honor her."

The second annual golf outing is July 19 and will raise money for next year's honoree. To register for the outing, contact Christen at 359-9404.

Rob Henn followed Huntington North athletics, especially basketball, and played golf. He passed away last June after a battle with cancer.
