Students will see some new teachers and staff members in schools this fall

Several staff changes were approved by the Huntington County Community School Cooperation Board of Trustees at its meetingon Monday, June 22

They include:
Certified resignations: Jennifer Caley, speech language pathologist from Huntington-Wells Special Services, and Joe O'Connell, math from Huntington North High School.

New certified staff: Melissa Blake, social studies for Riverview; Shoshannah McKinney, math for HNHS; Melanie Park, reading specialist for Riverview and Mycal Rodenbeck, social studies for Riverview.

New classified staff: Jennifer Caley,speech language assistant at HWSS; Ken Harris, head custodian at Lancaster; Lisa Hill, media clerk at Riverview and Joshua Miller, special education paraprofesional at Salamonie.

New extracurricular employees: Cassie Havens, head cheer coach for HNHS, and Mycal Rodenbeck, football assistant for Riverview.

Other matters discussed at the meeting include an update on the classified and administrative salary schedules.
Assistant Superintendent and financial representative David McKee says the schedules are 75 percent complete.

The schedules will be weighted on teacher and administrative experience and their desire to further their own education.

This "weight" is established after a survey classifies each personnel. The classified survey is out of 20 points and the administrative survey is based on 12 points.
