Eric Clancy, a jazz pianist from Fort Wayne, will provide the "fabulous music" for this year's JeFFFest, an event combining music, art and food.

Co-sponsored by the LaFontaine Arts Council and Four Corners Custom Framing, it will be held June 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Jefferson Street in downtown Huntington.

Clancy, a graduate of Huntington University, currently teaches and leads the jazz ensemble at HU. He also gives private lessons.

Inspired by such greats as Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, and Keith Jarrett, Clancy studied with jazz bassist and piano player Carol Rowan and piano theorist Kenny Werner. Clancy's style includes jazz, classical, pop, soul and world fusion.

Clancy appears solo and also plays with different bands in the northeast Indiana area. He can be seen regularly at Don Hall's restaurants in Fort Wayne.

Performing with Clancy at JeFFFest will be Brian Derek on bass and Dave Streeter on saxophone.

The fun food, all in taste-size portions, for JeFFFest includes salads, sandwiches and des-serts. Water and soft drinks will also be available. Tickets in $1 increments will be the sold at the event and can be exchanged for the food and drink items. Picnic tables will be set up on Jefferson Street. Everyone is encouraged to bring folding chairs to be guaran-teed a seat.

The fine art, created by Huntington area artists, will be on display and offered for silent auction at Four Corners Custom Framing, 419 N. Jefferson St., starting June 25. Silent bids for the art will conclude at 8 p.m. the evening of JeFFFest.

All proceeds from JeFFFest will go toward the LaFontaine Arts Council's "Arts in Education" programming.
