Alli Harris named 2009 4-H Fair royalty champion

Alli Harris, a 10-year member of the 4-H program, was named 2009 Huntington County 4-H Fair royalty champion on Friday, July 17, during a contest held at Huntington North High School.

Harris, 18, is the daughter of Ken and Bev Harris, of Rock Creek Township. She is a member of the Helping Hands, Junior Leaders and Huntington Hummers 4-H clubs.

Mindi Hoffman, of rural Columbia City, was first runner-up. Her parents are Kirk and Judy Hoffman, and she is a nine-year member of the Hoosier Boosters 4-H Club.

4-H Tractor Operators Contest announces results

The Huntington County 4-H Tractor Operators contest was held on Sunday, July 12, at Hier's Park.

Following is a list of results:

Junior Farm
Champion - Michael Winters.
Reserve champion - Julie Winters.

Blue ribbons - Austin Eltzroth, Cailey Baker, Lucas Reust and Lane Whitted.

Red ribbon - Jonathan Richardson.

Senior Farm
Champion - Matt Bulmer.
Reserve champion - Nathan Richardson.

Blue ribbon - Kyle Lahr.

Red ribbons - Casey Baker, Lance Kreider and Charles Raber.

White ribbon - Jesse Hinman.

4-H dog show announces results

The Huntington County 4-H Fair Dog Show crowned its agility champions after competition at Hier’s Park on Sunday, July 13.

The 4-H Dog Show was held Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, at Hier’s Park.
Show results are:

Obedience
Class 1A — Isaiah Conley, first; Hannah Nelson, second; Alysa Donaldson, third; Anniah Marshall, fourth; Josilyn Platt, fifth; Lillie Burd, Kiara Dominguez, Megan Gilpin and Emma Bushroe, all A’s; Anya Boice, participation.
