Six Huntington North High School students have earned top awards in the regional Scholastic Art and Writing awards competition.
Those six, along with several other students who also won awards, will be honored Sunday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Grand Wayne Center, Fort Wayne. Their work will be exhibited at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art Feb. 10 through April 7.
Senior Cheyanne Geideman was a triple winner, earning two of the top Gold Key awards along with a Silver Key award, all in photography.
Sarah Johnson, also a senior, won a Gold Key award for her photography portfolio, which was entered by HNHS digital design instructor Dominick Manco. Johnson also won a Silver Key award in photography.
Gold Key winners will be judged in a national exhibition in New York City, and portfolio finalists are eligible to compete for college scholarships.
Additional Gold Key award winners are senior Jessica Laws and sophomore Shelbie Goulding, both in sculpture; junior Hannah Scher, in jewelry; and junior Collin Wesco, in printmaking.
Goulding also earned an honorable mention in printmaking.
