The contest was sponsored by the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) and it was held at Bellmont High School, in Decatur.
Students were entered in one of five groups based on the difficulty of their selection.
Their selections were judged using criteria established by ISSMA and awarded a rating of Gold, Silver, Bronze or Participation.
Lisa Nalliah received a Gold rating for her piano solo in Group IV.
Jaycee Thorn and Kirsten Roller received Gold ratings for voice solos in Group IV.
Lizzy Finney, Rozella Waters and Ian Bostel received Silver ratings for voice solos in Group V.
The students are members of the sixth, seventh and eighth grade choirs, taught by William Richey.
